Where The Quet Lives is a project I began in response to a brief asking me to explore narrative within my work.

The project explores my personal relationship with the landscapes which moulded me and attempts to explain the ways in which they influence my understanding of myself and the world.

The images shown were sequenced together to form my fist self made photobook, ‘Where The Quiet Lives’.

As part of my practise exploring the themes listed above I have explored texture through chemigrams.

Using pieces of the landscape collected during shoots I weathered and developed Kentmere glossy black and white darkroom paper to transfer a part of myself and the landscape directly onto the pages.

These shots were taken using ;
120mm Ilford Delta 400 shot through a Mamiya RB67 ProS with a 50mm F/4.5 lens
35mm Ilford Hp5+ 400 shot through a Nikon FM2 with a 50mm F/1.4 lens
